Problems With Non Compete Agreements
About half, 49.4% of the companies surveyed, said that at least some workers in their companies had to conclude a non-competition clause. Employers who reported that they used competition bans for some, but not all, workers did not provide information on the proportion of workers subject to non-competition rules. However, some employers in this group reported employees who were subject to non-compete rules, with many reporting that they were either directors or salespeople. Some employers in this group mentioned other specific professions, for example doctors who are subject to non-compete obligations in the case of a medical employer and air talents who are subject to non-competition rules in the case of a media company. Almost a third, 31.8% of the companies surveyed, said that all workers in their company must conclude a non-competition clause, regardless of their remuneration or work obligations. . . .
