An operational service contract should be signed by the relevant Owner department within the Service Providers Organization. The main objective of such an agreement is to explicitly redesign the objectives, timetables, level of quality and commitment required of the service provider. It also protects the rights of the service provider, because everything, including remuneration, desired obligations and objectives to be achieved, is described in the same. In this scenario, from the customer`s perspective, the characteristics of the service should be described in a service definition for the customer and each customer will sign an after-sales service contract (see Figure 3: “Standardized service for multiple customers”). If you are working in environments with multiple sources involving multiple parties, both internal and external, be sure to create an internal operations service contract.
